Troop 135 arrived at Grimes Base Camp at 8:30 PM. Everyone setup there tens and camp area. We were fortunate to have a campsite all to our selves. Saturday was a beautiful day as the Grimes Base team transported our group and canoes 7 miles upstream. The 7 mile river trail was more challenging than previous years with the water level about 5 inches above normal. Everyone took the challenge. Nearly every canoe team capsized at least once. Thanks to the adults that joined Mr. Hembree and Mr. Poe on this trip. A special thanks goes to our Scout Coordinator Jonathan which kept the boys active and interested during the entire weekend.
