While our younger scouts trained on the adventurous Hiwassee River, four crews journeyed to the other side of the maintain for an evening of challenge and fun on the Middle Ocoee River. As soon as the Outfitter pushed our rafts into the water, a thunderstorm passed overhead bringing short periods of heavy rain, then sunshine, then a small hail storm. The rain brought welcome relief to the blazing hot temperatures. Combined with maneuvering the awesome power of the water rapids, our rafting experience was double high adventure.
