We depart from Oak View Elementary Friday evening at 5:00 PM. (We lose an hour at E-Town to EST)  The cost per person for most of us will be $65 which covers lodging for one night and one lift/rental combo ticket.  All meals are "Travel" meals meaning that each person is responsible for buying there own meals on the trip.  Travel Meals on this trip are: Friday evening, Saturday AM Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Ski Resort ($8 meal ticket available); Sunday - Breakfast and maybe a snack stop on the way home.  All will be fast food.

Many will wear a ski mask to break the wind from their face. Poly-type underwear is still recommended as the first layer of clothing. A middle layer polar fleece is recommended if the weather is cold. The outer layer should be a ski bib or ski pants and a waterproof, windproof type fabric jacket. The bottom line is: bring what ski gear you want, just pack it well.

The same layering technique applies to foot wear. A sock liner will help keep your foot dry by wicking moisture to your socks. Please send an extra pair of socks.

Electronic games are allowed in the car.  Do not taking electronic games into the ski resort. I will have my cell phone on me at all times, in a water proof packet. It is probably alright for the scouts to carry a cell phone, properly sealed and paded. This is up to you. Cell phones can become permanently damaged if they come in contact with water. I have learned this lesson the hard way.

I will hand out a small piece of paper that is an adult cell phone directory to each of the boys when we are suited up to ski.  If anyone should need help, they should call, either from a cell phone or a pay phone. This sheet of paper is also identification in the case of an accident.
